I am a 2nd year PhD student at Claremont School of Theology. I will be writing my dissertation on four "contingentist" individuals who broadly dialogue in theology & science matters: Stephen Jay Gould; Philip Clayton, my doktor vater to be; Arthur Peacocke; and Thomas Jay Oord. I will be appropriating, conditioning, and somewhat extending Oord's thoughts on the concept of uncontrolling love. More specifically, I will be developing a new view that I have termed "uncontrolling kenosis".
